AVP, Public D&O, Financial Institutions

JOB SUMMARY:

Maintain and grow the U.S. small market capitalization portfolio of business for Financial Institutions within the Professional Liability (Public D&O) Brokerage department (inclusive of D&O, E&O, Fiduciary and EPL). 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Underwrite PL business for Financial Institutions (Banks, Asset Managers, Insurance Companies, and other types of financial institutions) in your geographic region;


• Market to both brokers where Allied World has an existing relationship as well as new markets to the company;


• Generate new business production on a monthly basis;


• Maintain a renewal retention rate of at least 85%;


• Develop new underwriters as our group grows;


• Attend appropriate professional development training sessions and conferences when deemed appropriate;


• Assist with special projects as needed under supervision of management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent Communication skills for both internal and external clients


• Ability to work independently in a fast paced, high pressure environment


• Product knowledge in the various PL products


• 7 - 10 years experience in the underwriting industry


• Excellent organizational skills, and ability to multi task required
