Bus Driver - Child Development

The Treasure Valley Family YMCA's Child Development programs support children in their ongoing growth to ensure that they are ready for the next educational milestone, whether that be preschool, kindergarten, middle school, or high school.

Bus Drivers are responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation to and from school, program sites, and special events while maintaining a supportive and positive atmosphere. This position supports multiple locations.

Key Qualifications: Must have or be able to acquire a Boise City Childcare License, CPR, and First Aid Certification prior to first day of employment. Applicants must have a current Idaho CDL license with a passenger endorsement, a clean driving record, and the ability to quickly assess and respond to emergency situations. Must work well in a team setting and be willing to perform cleaning tasks.

Additional Requirements: Must be available in the morning for drop-off at schools from 8:30am-10:00am and in the afternoon for pick up at schools from 2:45pm to 5:00pm. Must have physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must have ability to sit while maintaining alertness for extended periods of time.
