Job Description:
A Production Specialist is a detail-oriented position responsible for landscape maintenance and enhancement projects under the direction of a crew leader or assistance crew leader. The incumbent can operate a variety of machinery, tools and equipment and has a working knowledge of horticulture practices. This position is intended for continuous development and upward growth within the company. This position will also perform all other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:

Perform landscape maintenance duties such as mowing, fertilizer application, weed control,aeration, spring clean, fall clean up trimming and pruning under the direction of a crew leader.
Complete landscape enhancement projects such as tree and plant installation, mulch application,topsoil application and lawn seeding under the direction of a crew leader
Operate a variety of landscape equipment including but not limited to commercial mower, linetrimmer, edge, blower, hedge trimmers and chainsaw
Immaculately maintains and cares for equipment and notifies management of needed repairs

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:

Basic knowledge of standard horticultural practices, including but not limited to planting, pruningand fertilization
Cut turf using various sized power mowers, trimming and edging using a gas powered edger/trimmer,and operating a gas powered blower
Properly and safely prune shrubs and low trees as needed to improve the shape or growth habit or toremove damaged branches
Properly and safely operate the edger and line trimmer along sidewalks, flower beds, trees, buildings,fences and other objects

Competency:

Highly disciplined, energetic, self-starter, and demonstrates a positive attitude
Excellent organizational and time management skills

Work Environment:

Employee is required to stand, walk, crouch, stoop and/or kneel. Employee will regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Employee is required to work in an outside environment with various climate changes during allfour seasons
Position type and expected hours of work:
Employee will work over 30 hours per week
While performing the duties of this position, employee is regularly exposed to wet and or humidconditions, outside weather (heat or cold) and moving mechanical equipment. Moreover, job sitesare located on both residential and commercial property. The employee may also occasionally beexpected to the homeowner's pets
Pay will be issued on a bi-weekly basis

Part-Time / Full-Time Status
