Overview:
The Director creates the strategy, development and implementation of data analytics and reporting solutions to drive performance with value-based care/population initiatives, including contractual agreements.
Working in partnership with clinical, operational and technical leaders (internal and external), this role brings an enterprise view to ensure alignment and delivery of goals to meet the strategic plan of Mercy's continued growth of value-based care.
The Director will lead the team to leverage utilization, cost, financial, claims and clinical data to highlight opportunities to improve care and reduce total cost of care; this includes identification of new data sources, interaction with carriers/payors, ensuring timeliness of data and report delivery and mitigation of risks.
This position will also be expert in data exchanges with payors/carriers and capabilities to enhance data sharing, in partnership with MTS, to succeed with value-based care.
Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications:
* Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of direct healthcare management experience. Minimum of five (5) years of analytics or business intelligence experience.
* Required Education: MBA, MPH, MHA or MS in a quantitative discipline
* Other: Strong understanding of clinical quality measures and programs involving revenue and quality, e.g., CMS MSSP ACO, Medicare Advantage. Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, financial background a plus. Experience in application of information technology solutions to varying settings, i.e., clinical and operational. Experience in data modeling, query optimization and enterprise level solutions. Strong project management skills. Proficiency in data analysis, including demonstrated capabilities with analytical software, process development/improvement, and change management.
