Founded in 1901, RIVERSIDE COMMUNITY HOSPITAL is a 478 licensed bed, full-service acute care hospital in the heart of the Inland Empire. QUALIFICATIONS

The CTC reports to the Director of Perioperative Services. Responsible

for coordinating daily activities of the Cardiothoracic/Cardiovascular

Surgical Specialties in accordance with the accepted standards and

policies. Main responsibilities will include strategic cardiothoracic

program development in alignment with the strategic goals of the

Hospital in conjunction with the Director. Will also include

supervising and training department personnel, maintaining equipment

and supply levels, maintaining PI and customer service program, and

maintaining up to date policies and procedures in designated specialty.

The CTC assumes responsibility for planning, supervising and

evaluating the care of patients to ensure complrehensive and

continuous care for each patient/family in the designated specialty.

This involves maangement and responsibilities for diverse categories

of personnel for patient care. The CTC works in close collaboration

with the Cardiac Cath Lab, SICU, and other multidisciplinary

departments to achieve quality patient care. The CTC position requires

productivity management, knowledge of management principles,

communication, teaching/learning principles, nursing practice and the

ability to apply nursing theories. The position requires skill in

interpersonal communication, group dynamics, problem solving,

delegation, interviewing, observation, counseling and teaching. The

CTC must evaluate personnel, assess environment, and determine

priorities for care in order to plan, implement, and evaluate outcomes

of care. The CTC must function effectively in stressful situations.

Licensure/ Certification/ Registration

* California RN License

* Current BCLS

* CNOR required or obtained with 12 months of hire

Education

* Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

* Bachelor of Nursing required or obtained within 3 to 4 years of hire

Experience

* Minimum of 1 to 2 years experience in area of responsibility in an acute care facility.

* Ability to scrub and circulate most procedures in areas of

* responsibility.

* Computer literate

* Teaching/coaching skills

* Able to assess staff needs and develop objective goals
