Overview:

Provide direct patient care consistent with the established standards of practice, the goals of Mercy Hospital Springfield, the philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy and the Mercy Code of Conduct. Under the direct supervision of an RN will perform duties as listed in "Job Responsibilities". Primary duties include admitting patients in pre-op areas, assisting with procedures, instrument processing, equipment cleanliness, transportation of patients and equipment, and supply inventory. Performs related duties as assigned. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

* Required Education: High school graduate or equivalent

* Certifications: Must have a current American Heart Association BLS Provider card or complete a course within their probation period

* Other: Must have current competency for IV education and proctoring or complete IV training, proctoring, and competency during their probationary period
