Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Supervisor of Environmental Services is responsible for staff oversight and daily shift operations of the EVS and Linen Distribution departments within an assigned facility ensuring a high level of environmental hygiene, aesthetics and customer service is provided to patients, visitors and staff at all times. The Supervisor works closely with clinical and ancillary support leadership to ensure effective support of hospital operations; provides daily oversight of regulatory standards; ensures financial stewardship of department operations and collaborates

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Three (3) years of experience in environmental services or acute care related support departments required
Previous experience and demonstrated skills in a supervisory or lead capacity required
Experience working in a union environment preferred

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Associates degree or two years of experience in lieu of degree will be considered
Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) and/or Certified Surgical Cleaning Technician (CSCT) certifications or trainer designation required within 6 months of placement in job
