JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provides courteous and prompt telephone service while demonstrating a high level of customer service skills. Position requires a professional attitude and the ability to:

* Handle 100-200 calls per hour.

* Monitor all emergency equipment (fire alarms, generators, etc.).

* Announce all hospital emergencies: codes, fire alarms, etc.

* Handle a busy switch board.

QUALIFICATIONS

* High school diploma, GED or related experience preferred.

* Minimum 1 year experience in medical billing/collection environment.

* Basic computer skills.

* Ability to read, speak, and write in English required.
