Job Description:

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, Linux and Windows server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups

- Apply standard industry best practices to evaluate, design, and upgrade enterprise and desktop technologies and configurations; perform virtualization, storage, and server management; and shall manage backups at various classification levels

- Applies DoD Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) to secure clients and servers

- Establishes and manages user accounts, profiles, file sharing, access privileges, and security

- Installs, modifies and maintains systems, network elements and utility software on virtualized servers

- Perform scheduled network tasks, update anti-virus definition files, monitor network servers, and provide internet and intranet user support

- Develops procedures, programs and documentation for backup and restoration of host operating systems and host-based applications, as well as other needed documentation

- Provision and maintain information technology systems on virtual machines on premise

- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies, performs technology research/evaluation

- Builds trust with customers and fosters collaborative environment for team members and stakeholders
