Blue Yonder's WMS Development & Support Services (Dev Serv) Team
- Responsible for working with customers to analyze their needs and use cases to design value-driven extensions within the Blue Yonder product suite.
- We are a diverse team operating globally in the US, India, UK, Belgium, Canada, Bulgaria, and Netherlands with over 60 software engineers, architects, and leads; working together to deliver value for our customers.
WMS Enterprise Technical Architect role's scope
- The WMS Technical Architect will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, testing, training and implementation of Blue Yonder WMS solution extensions and integrations for one to many customers.
- This is a customer facing role; you will independently own the scoping, design, estimation and ramp up process along with demo runs, and technical support.
- Your day to day:
- Analyze and discuss new requirements from customers, understand use cases, design solutions (enhancements or new applications) to cover those needs with supportability and upgradeability in mind that will have minimal impact on existing applications
- Lead application development within the development team (owning complex development personally or guiding one to many developers on the execution based on the project plan)
- Create and execute test plans - manual and automated,
- Demo development with customers and provide technical support for any issues in customer testing or production for the developed extensions.
Top /must have Technical skills:
- Technical architect with hands-on application development experience
- Blue Yonder/JDA/Redprairie WMS knowledge and work experience
- Java, Restful API web services, ReactJS development experience
- Experience using Automated Testing tools
Preferred skills:
- Knowledge of MOCA, a layered service-oriented architecture (SOA) unique to Blue Yonder architecture
- Knowledge and/or working experience with Tryon Cycle, automation testing tool
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of WMS Application Development experience with Blue Yonder WMS. A significant portion of this experience must be as a developer or architect level position.
- Must possess at least one full lifecycle of implementing a Tier 1 Warehouse Management System solution.
- Knowledge of system integrations and ability to create and customize the inbound and outbound transactions.
- Experience developing reports using Jasper reports.
- Experience in creating labels and integrating it with Blue Yonder WMS.
- Thorough understanding of the Blue Yonder/JDA WMS functionality.
- Relational database experience with Oracle PL/SQL, and SQL Server.
- Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices.
- Thorough understanding of platforms such as Unix, Microsoft Windows
- Hands-on experience developing test cases and test plans for manual and/ or automated testing
- Experience working in both waterfall and agile structured teams is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Manage/ support warehouse management system enhancements, implementations and upgrades
- Write code as is necessary to support critical WMS functions and to ensure a comprehensive understanding of all technical aspects of the application and integration points
- Collaborate with analysts, designers, developers, and system owners in the testing of new software programs and applications
- Review and analyze existing applications' effectiveness and efficiency based on customer needs, and then develop technical strategies for improving or leveraging these systems focused on customer value now and in the future as the Blue Yonder platform evolves
