ELS is hiring for the position of Campground Ranger / Pool Monitor in Seaside, Oregon.

What you'll do:

The Ranger / Pool Monitorposition is a dual role that is scheduled for Ranger or Pool Monitor shifts depending on the needs of the Campground. The Ranger role is responsible for greeting guests as they check into the Campground, relaying Campground general information and executing all interactions with a friendly and welcoming demeanor. The Pool Monitor observes all pool activity which includes enforcing maximum occupancy requirements as well as executing enhanced cleaning procedures required due to COVID19. Both roles are responsible for enforcing rules and ensuring the safety of our guests and their belongings.The ideal employee can handle any stressful situation in a calm manner and react accordingly with regards to local, state and federal law.

Your job will include:


  • Monitor the Campground with a keen eye watching out for potential problems.

  • Ensure that guests comply with resort rules, respond to areas of concern and contact law enforcement if necessary.

  • Perform routine patrols of the entire Campground.

  • Monitor all incoming guests at the pool and validate if access is acceptable.

  • Ask COVID19 pre-screening questions when checking guests into the pool.

  • Document information for all parties that request to use the pool.

  • Ensure compliance with maximum occupancy based on local requirements.

  • Test pool chemicals and report any concerns.

  • Execute routine cleaning and enhanced cleaning procedures as scheduled.

  • Ensure that the pool building is properly secured.

  • Prioritize guest safety and happiness.

Skills & experience you need:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Basic reading, writing and math skills and the ability to use computer applications.

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

  • Ability to assess a situation, use quick and reasonable judgment and resolve problems diplomatically.

  • Exceptional customer service and communications skills and a friendly demeanor.

  • Experience working in aquatics and/or working in an RV environment, is a benefit.

  • Valid driver's license, good driving record and current auto insurance.

  • Ability to working weekends and holidays on a regular basis.
