Job Description:
Manager Cardiology Clinic & Cardiac Rehab
Responsible for daily and overall efficient operation of assigned clinics, including staff performance, patient care processes and outcomes, patient/family satisfaction, and prudent resource management. The manager will develop, execute and oversee aspects of service delivery, quality assurance, governmental regulations, regulatory compliance, program policies and practices. The position will be hands on and interact and coordinate with management, staff and patients.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinates multidisciplinary staff to meet the needs of clinic patients referred into the clinic practice
In conjunction with medical and nursing staff continually assesses processes and effectiveness of overall patient care in the clinics
Continually assesses and adjusts patient flow for increased efficiencies
Develops and implements marketing strategies to grow clinic services
Coordinates with the Medical Staff office to ensure all physician licenses and credentials are up-to-date
Coordinates and delegates administrative and clinic responsibilities such as patient access, patient education, patient experience surveys, EMR and other special projects
Selects and supervises clinic staff
Monitors and evaluates staff performance/competency on an ongoing basis and in collaboration with the employee:
Recognizes employee’s strengths
Coaches up
Identifies employee’s work-related needs and goals
Develops performance improvement plans, as needed
Initiates and follows through with disciplinary processes if necessary
Develops work schedules, including call rotation and resolves conflicts with scheduling
Develops clinic-specific policies, procedures, and competencies in conjunction with clinical staff using evidence-based standards of care
Prepares and monitors clinic budget(s)/productivity. Identifies cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department, taking into account business trends, resource availability, and changes in patient mix
Supports and manages electronic medical record, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Develops, monitors, and evaluates unit-specific quality improvement indicators, in collaboration with Quality division
Develops and maintains effective working relationships with employees, physicians, vendors, other departments and members of the healthcare team
Investigates and addresses unit-specific complaints, seeks assistance from Director and/or Chief Nursing Officer when indicated
Monitors patient data, charges, procedures, drugs administered, and prepares reports
SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Understanding of HIPAA, ADA, OSHA and other regulatory standards.
Demonstrates leadership skills
Knowledge of medical terminology especially with cardiology and wound care specific conditions
Demonstrates the ability to operate applicable office equipment
Exhibits the ability to deal effectively, interdepartmentally and with the public
Demonstrates excellent customer service skills
Demonstrates quality technical skills and knowledge
Demonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES

Bachelor’s Degree required in related field
Master’s Degree preferred
Certification in Medical Practice Management from MGMA, AAPC or other relevant certification preferred
EXPERIENCE

A minimum of two years of clinic managerial or leadership experience within the last five years required

Requires significant use of personal computer, phone and general office equipment
