Pharmacy Technician - Research Investigational
Position Highlights:
Nebraska Medicine is looking for an experienced hospital pharmacy technician to join the Investigational Drug Service Pharmacy Team. The applicant should be able to perform independent, accurate and reliable completion of designated responsibilities, which affects the overall accuracy, reliability, and excellence of the teams services. Essential functions include: receive, sort, compound and process a variety of research medication orders under the supervision of a pharmacist, including IV clean room certification; assist in the maintenance of drug inventory and records of drug distribution; perform billing activities as required; perform duties relevant to research pharmacy operations support following established policies and procedures; maintain accurate, complete documentation on research dispensing activities as directed; provide excellent customer service to the organization's health professionals.

Full Time and benefits eligible (1.0 FTE / 40 hours per week)
Monday - Friday Day shift (no weekends) (no evenings unless deemed necessary due to study protocol)

Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 18 years of age required.
High school education or equivalent required.
Currently registered with Nebraska Department Health and Human Services as a pharmacy technician or eligibility required.
Ability to provide excellent customer service in a timely, courteous, and effective manner is required.
Knowledgeable in subject matter and demonstrated professional behavior while interacting with colleagues and customers required.
Licensed Nebraska pharmacy intern or registered as a pharmacy technician with the State of Nebraska Board of Pharmacy required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as a pharmacy technician in a hospital environment preferred.
