The network also has increased access to pediatric specialty care through outreach clinics in many communities in North and West Texas.

Summary:

The medical receptionist is responsible for greeting patients, families and visitors and establishing a friendly, positive encounter for each patient's visit. The medical receptionist is responsible for performing office functions including but not limited to answering phones, scheduling, registration, and billing for patients in the clinic setting. This job requires a high level of flexibility and excellent communication skills as well as the ability to adapt to changes as they occur in both staffing levels as well as patient volumes.

Qualifications:

- High school graduate or equivalent

- At least two years' experience in a medical office or one year of Cook Children's Physician Network medical office experience.

- Understanding of diversified insurance plans.

- Knowledge of coding and medical terminology.

- Exhibit good interpersonal and communication skills.

- Maturity to withstand pressure that may arise in relation to the public and physician.

- CPR as required by department
