DescriptionPosition Responsibilities:
* Coordinates customer order shipments with Materials Supervisor and Shipping Lead.
* Prepares domestic and international shipments in accordance with the shipping requirements and specifications determined by the Materials Supervisor or Shipping Lead.
* Responsible for the accuracy of the packed materials, crating, tagging, and handling.
* Assist in material handling and receiving departments as needed.
* Conform to GMP regulations.
* Continuous improvement thinking to improve work area, lower cost and improve customer service.
* Responsible for following safety requirements by wearing required personal protective equipment and identifying and eliminating unsafe acts and conditions in the work place.
QualificationsEssential competencies:
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* 1 + year of work experience in shipping material handling.
* Employee must be able to operate packing and shipping equipment, fill out paperwork, perform simple math, read and write and speak English.
* Good working knowledge of Word and Excel.
* Self-leadership and motivation to continue improving on the job and good computer skills needed.
* Good communication skills, highly motivated, willingness to cross train and do other jobs in the plant when required, team oriented.
* Prior work experience in lean material pull systems preferred.
