Technical Product Owner

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to organize, prioritize and assess work for our Agile teams. As a key stakeholder in Product Delivery, you will champion agile best practices and delight in ensuring stories meet the Definition of Ready seeking input and clarity from non-technical subject-matter-experts, engineering staff and business owners alike

The Product Owner's responsibilities include gathering feature requests, identifying business domains, determining process-centric epics, authoring right-sized stories that deliver business value, and coordinating refinement/rituals.

As a critical member of the product delivery team, your ability to understand and translate Business and Technical requirements into high-value implementable & testable feature-sets will be instrumental in delivering a world-class product. To be successful in this role, you should be able to identify and negotiate user needs and work with cross-functional teams to define & prioritize the scope of sprints that deliver business value.

The Technical Product Owner will work closely with Software & Platform Architects along with Subject Matter & Technology Experts. The role requires understanding software architectures and standards along with Cloud/PAAS solutions and being able to distill into user stories for the teams to work on.

Ultimately, you'll help us roll-out high-impact products that deliver significant customer value in-line with our company's vision.
Job Tasks:
- Working closely with Product Management, Incorporate feature requests into product roadmap & backlog
- Groom and prioritize the product backlog with Product Management
- Develop user stories and define achievable acceptance criteria
- Set sprint goals and define sprint backlogs with the engineering teams
- Plan sprint striping and feature release milestones working with Program & Product Management
- Follow progress of work and address detail/information issues during sprints
- Interpret functional requirements and requests of end-users
- Refine our agile methodology based on results and feedback
- Keep track of industry trends and best practices.
Education, Certifications & Experience

Preferred Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant field

Minimum Experience:
- 2-5 years of continuous commercial experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product
- management.
- Real-world experience of implementing and executing SCRUM using modern online tools.
- Ability to define testable stories, experience with INVEST and SMART a plus.
- Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle
- Technical background with knowledge of software development and web technologies
- Team spirit and great communication both internally and externally with an ability to negotiate.
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to lead & mentor others with varying levels of skill and expertise
- Agile certifications beneficial (e.g. CSM etc).
