Part two includes full immersion into clinical rotations. Successful completion of the Periop 101 exam (80% or higher) is required to continue to full clinical rotations at week nine. Clinical experience will consist of training in all service lines during the remaining time in orientation. Nurses will become proficient in their primary duty of circulating and scrubbing will be taught as a fundamental skillset.
Periop 101 nurses will be paired with service-line preceptors during the program to complete clinical practice. Preceptors will complete evaluations at specific intervals.
