JOB SUMMARY: Beth Israel Lahey Health is a world-class integrated health system providing patients with better care wherever they are. Our 120,000 square foot facility in Westwood, MA, provides state of the art pharmacy services to our systems patients and employees. We specialize in patient-centered care, adherence packaging, specialty drug services, home delivery services, prior authorizations processing, and patient counseling. We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and experienced individual that will build and manage our inventory and logistics team. Our goal is to provide the highest level of service and become the pharmacy of choice for all our patients and employees. The Lead Pharmacy Inventory Controller will assist with inventory maintenance and purchasing for BILH Pharmacy Direct and the BILH outpatient pharmacy network. This individual will assist with the supervision of pharmacy inventory controllers.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Responsible for the purchasing, receiving, reconciliation, and all aspects of pharmacy inventory management.

* Reconciliation of inventory orders including the matching of purchase orders with packing slips, and escalates packing slip/purchase order mismatches with distributors and manufacturers.

* Assist with weekly cycle counts for BILH Pharmacy Direct; Assist with semi-annual physical inventories in all locations.

* Responsible for overseeing physical inventories in cooperation with the Internal Audit and Finance department.

* Ensures all drugs and supplies are appropriately ordered, received, stored, secured, and maintained as per standards of practice and manufacturer guidelines. Ensures appropriate pedigree according to Federal and State laws, rules, and regulations.

* Oversight of pharmacy automation inventory. Ensures pharmacy automation is maintained and stocked to meet operational needs.

* Works with vendors and wholesalers to submit orders through the appropriate channels, such as wholesaler, Third Party Administrators, or manufacturer direct purchases.

* Works directly with finance and data analysts to provide ongoing and end of month accruals, complete inventory count, cross charges, invoice coding, and financial performance reports for the department.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

* Registration Pharm Tech Cert Board required., and Certificate 1 Certfied Pharmacy Technician required.

* 3-5 years related work experience required.

* Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Multi-business unit experience.

* 340B and data analytics background. Inventory management experience.

* Supervisory experience.

* ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: Ability to comprehend and communicate complex verbal information in English to medical center staff, patients, families and external customers.

* KNOWLEDGE: Ability to demonstrate full working knowledge of standard concepts, practices, procedures and policies with the ability to use them in varied situations.

* TEAM WORK: Ability to act as a team leader for small projects or work groups, creating a collaborative and respectful team environment and improving workflows. Results may impact the operations of one or more departments.

* CUSTOMER SERVICE: Ability to provide a high level of customer service and staff training to meet customer service standards and expectations for the assigned unit(s). Resolves service issues in the assigned unit(s) in a timely and respectful manner.

PHYSICAL NATURE OF THE JOB:
Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Some elements of the job are sedentary, but the employee will be required to stand for periods of time or move through out the hospital campus
