Job Description
GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Sales Intern will help support the department by coordinating and collecting allowance and credit report data to develop a bridge from deductions taken by the customer to expected payment made to Dole Fresh Vegetables (DFV). The intern will also work closely with the entire sales team on an individual basis to capture unique customer data needed for Power BI table formats currently being rolled out and integrated to the sales team.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION

Work closely with Director of Sales to help support the operation with coordinating allowance and credit data for all sales team members.
- Work closely with individual sales team members on their perspective accounts needing attention as described by dollar values pending and allowance count.
- Develop tracking notes for each account descriptive of reasons allowances existing.
- Report weekly summaries of files closed.
- Track deductions still pending with detail for reason still open.
- Organize and analyze data.
- Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift (including overhead) and/or up to 15 lbs.
WORK HOUR REQUIREMENT
- 40-hour workweek, no overtime expected
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to travel locally as needed to other DFV locations, such as, but not limited to, Marina, CA. Periodic use of Dole vehicle; vehicle not permitted to be taken overnight.
Required Experience
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION
- Fall 2021 Junior or Senior majoring in Ag Business, and/or Sales and Marketing.
