Responsibilities
- Lead the negotiations of a wide range of complex agreements from structure to complete execution (draft, review, and negotiate standard and non-standard agreements)
- Work collaboratively with the company Sales Team, Business Units, and other internal teams
- Advise senior management on complex collaboration agreements with third party partners
- Advise business clients and finance on business and legal risks, company policies and procedures
- Build strong and transparent relationships with internal clients
- Assist with marketing matters and product development processes
Education/Work Experience
- JD from an accredited law school (local candidates preferred)
- 8 to 10 years of relevant experience either at a top-tier law firm or at a technology company
- Member of the California Bar
Requirements
- Extensive experience drafting and negotiating outbound services agreements, sales contracts, and license agreements
- In-depth experience advising clients on and structuring complex outbound transactions
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skill
- Ability to use verbal and written language confidently to protect the Company's interests and achieve compromise
- Proven ability to develop close and collaborative working relationships with internal partners and external customers
- Ability to use creative and problem-solving approaches to balance legal and business objectives
- Professional, collaborative, flexible, team-oriented, pro-active, detail oriented, and interested in learning
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Able to work independently and collaboratively to resolve complex issues
- Knowledge of EDA, IP core or semiconductor licensing is a plus
- Experience contracting with the government is a plus
