A day in the life of a Senior Relationship Banker
- Building client relationships by listening to our client's' needs and determining which products will best meet their financial goals.
- Support of teller line and provides all other deposit products and loans at the customer's request
- Cross-sell and make referrals to bank partners to generate new business and deepen existing client relationships.
- Acts on behalf of Assistant Branch Manager or Branch Manager (in their absence)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for opening checking accounts, savings accounts, and provides all other deposit product services at the customer's request. Looks for products/services to benefit customers & actively informs/sells these benefits/products to clients. Works with customers to identify needs, follow through and close the sale.
- Responsible for supporting the teller line to keep the lines to a minimum and exhibit quality customer service (performs processing of financial transactions if needed).
- Cross-sells and makes referrals to bank partners to generate new business and deepen existing customer relationships.
- Participates in client/prospect calling activities during special deposit/loan campaigns.
- Actively calls on potential clients, develops a call/referral plan to generate new business.
- Assists in conducting meetings to promote sales, product knowledge and customer service. Assists Branch Manager with training personnel.
- Responsible for taking loan applications for personal/retail consumer needs as required.
- Assists with dual control vault responsibilities and assists with audit controls.
- Prepares basic business loans for underwriting.
- Maintains authority to approve overdrafts and waive or charge fees and assists Branch Manager in monitoring the daily transactions of NSF's and overdrafts.
- Acts on behalf of the Assistant Branch Manager or Branch Manager (their direct boss) in their absence.
- All other job related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
No direct management responsibilities. However, based on branch staffing mix, branch management may assign some supervisory oversight to the Sr Relationship Banker over less experienced staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required and may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2-5 years of experience as a Relationship Banker

COMPUTER AND OFFICE EQUIPMENT SKILLS
Microsoft Office Suite- ie Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Access is a plus.
In addition, 10-key calculator; coin counter
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS (Ex: CPA, Series 6 or 7 license, etc)
None required
