Maintenance Manager, Northeast KS area

One of Land O"Lakes Member Owner Agriculture Retailers is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager. This individual is responsible for ensuring maintenance and upkeep of application equipment is done in the most cost-effective way.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following.


  • Oversees daily work of employees working on shop projects

  • Develop location personnel capabilities including coaching, training, and performance management. Including execution of the employee performance review

  • Strategically plan and manage parts inventory

  • Ensure that parts are invoiced to customers

  • Strategically plan, manage, and assign shop projects

  • Operate shop machinery

  • Assists in repair, construction, or maintenance

  • Oversee preventative maintenance program for all company operations

  • Coordinate with Operations Managers at other locations as needed

  • Maintain all ag retailer locations including Anhydrous Ammonia facilities

  • Responsible for upkeep of records (DOT, NH3 trailers, assets, etc)

  • Coordinates employee safety training (forklift, trucks, etc)

  • Communicate with supplier on pricing and services needed for repairs

  • Provide input on equipment manufacturer possibilities

  • Support new business initiatives and projects and contribute to review meetings and change process

  • Overall knowledge of equipment (what equipment is used at what times of year)

  • Other duties that may be assigned

  • High school graduate or GED with 5 years of experience in ag retail operations.

  • Class A CDL

  • Managerial or supervisory experience

  • Highly skilled communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally.

  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills.

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Ability to work well with a team

  • Strong planning skills with the ability to handle multiple projects through to completion and to manage competing priorities

  • Excellent attention to detail skills.

  • Self-starter and able to motivate others.

  • Self-motivated, flexible and works well under pressure.

  • Anticipates and overcomes obstacles.
