Role Description.

As an Operations Analyst, you will have the opportunity to support Alternative Investments (e.g., Hedge funds, Private Equity Instruments, REITS, etc.) for high profile clients and various internal teams to allow for the efficient functioning of this key line of business in our firm. With a focus on control and risk aversion, you will monitor Alternative Investments custodied at JPMC throughout their lifecycle, utilizing our proprietary systems as well as vendor applications that are used industry wide.

Our analysts are instilled with the drive to succeed in a challenging environment and enforce the need for timely execution of deliverables. You will gain valuable experiences with various investment banking products and services that have global risk exposure. With the global footprint of our business you will get the chance to work with key personnel across our corporate centers and learn how to operate in a global economy.

Responsibilities:

-Interact daily with Alternative Investment Sponsors, clients, internal stakeholders, legal/compliance, and others.

-Familiarize yourself with Alternative Investment products (e.g., Hedge funds, Private Equity Instruments, REITS, etc.) and their structural complexities.

-Support the custody of Alternative Investments throughout their entire lifecycle at JPMC

-Employ large data sets to present trends and analyses to management regarding Alternative investments at JPMC.

-Leverage proprietary and industry data management tools to automate processes.

-Identify regulatory exposure and report to both internal and external stakeholders

-Regularly undertake challenging projects, recognize improvement opportunities, and promote process streamlining

-Liaise with legal, risk, and clients to vet and onboard new Alternative Investment products.

Qualifications:

-Must be able to analyze complex and ambiguous issues, recommending creative solutions with clear and concise presentations

-An ability to balance multiple responsibilities and prioritize based on business results, client considerations, and risk mitigation.

-Demonstrate an understanding and interest in stocks, bonds, options, and financial markets and products.

-Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables and v-look ups, is necessary

-Familiarity with automation, data analysis, and data visualization tools a plus (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, VBA, SQL, etc.)
