DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Support and monitor performance of applications and database systems in production. Verify performance impact of infrastructure changes such as hardware and operating system upgrades. Responsible for system performance monitoring and tuning, ensuring user accessibility, and providing user performance support. Perform patching, upgrades, migration, risk control, and IT incident management. Help developers fix code via defect tracking and debugging. Provide recommendations for better performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Master's degree in Electric Engineering, Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field of study plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or two (2) years of experience as Software/Application Developer, Performance Engineer, Database Administrator (DBA), or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of experience in lieu of a Master's degree plus two (2) years of experience.

Skills Required: This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following skills: Teradata performance tuning; Teradata RDBMS; Teradata SQL; Teradata Utilities; logical and physical modeling; business intelligence (BI) concepts including Cognos, Tableau, and SAS; and ETL concepts including Informatica and AbInitio.Chase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America's households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
