ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The JPMorgan Chase & Co. US Military Pathways Rotational Program, is an aggressive, highly selective program that seeks to identify top veteran talent and cultivate them to serve as leaders in our firm. This program offers a challenging and rewarding work experience that provides acclimation support, coaching and dedicated program managers, the opportunity to rotate into two, one-year roles, job skills training, networking with colleagues and senior level management, and the exposure needed to grow into a future leader across our most demanding business areas.

US Military Veterans have a unique set of experiences and leadership abilities that are greatly valued in our organization and the vast support for this program will enable you to curate an effective career pathway into J.P. Morgan that is appropriate for you and your job interests.

Structure

Rotational Pathways Associates are hired into the firm based on eligibility, organizational fit and interview performance and then work with program management to place into a specific role suitable to personal interest, skill, professional experience and business priorities. Participants complete up to two different roles via one-year rotations in teams across J.P. Morgan's lines of business:


  • Consumer & Community Banking
  • Commercial Banking
  • Corporate/Centralized Functions
  • Asset & Wealth Management
  • Corporate & Investment Banking

Rotations are flexible and participants can choose roles in the following key tracks essential to our business:

  • Operations / Technology / Cybersecurity
  • Client Engagement / Sales
  • Product Development / Analytics / Strategy
  • Communications / Marketing
  • Human Resources / Talent Development / Employee Engagement / Recruiting
  • Risk / Controls
  • Finance / Audit / Resource Management
  • General (work with Program Management to determine area of best fit)

Selected candidates receive pre-hire guidance as well as an intensive overview of the organization and personalized onboarding support in their first 30 days. Continuous learning and development is provided over the program's 24-month period with the opportunity to rotate roles after 12 months. Each opportunity will be focused on individual development allowing you to grow in diverse skill areas such as project or business management, programming, client support, card services, relationship management, analytics, fraud protection and security, digital solutions, people development and more. Upon completion of the Pathways program, participants place out into full-time roles based on preference, performance and demonstrated growth potential.

To ensure continuous development throughout the program, each participant receives ongoing mentorship, guidance and support from program management, their rotation manager, veteran sponsors and many other influential business partners across the firm who are invested in the success of Pathways Associates.

Engagement

You will interact with JPMorgan Chase & Co. senior management and partner with a military veteran sponsor who will assist you with the transition from military life into our organization. You can also become a member of our Veteran Business Resource Group to connect with other veterans at the firm and help advance key veteran priorities and service projects. And of course, you'll have the strong support network of your fellow military veteran colleagues who are actively in the program or serve as dedicated alumni. The cohort format of Pathways will provide you with a network of peers to share experiences and a sense of community amongst fellow veterans.

As part of the program, JPMorgan Chase & Co. will also allow you to take time needed to complete executive format or part-time graduate education. In addition to allowing time away from work for class, you'll be able to connect with other program participants and leaders who have attended or are currently enrolled in some of the country's most elite business schools.

Education and Military Experience

  • Minimum of BA/BS Degree required
  • 0-4 years of separation from US military service
  • US Military leadership experience, achieved through 6+ years as a Commissioned or typically through 10+ years as a Non- Commissioned Officer in any United States military branch of service with a demonstrated record of success
  • Demonstrated experience with organizational and operational readiness, strategic planning and risk mitigation
  • Minimum of 18 months in a qualifying US military unit leader equivalent position with direct supervision responsibilities; staff experience, preferred
