Location

This position is based out of our Energy Corridor Office in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and provide oversight for the Project Engineering Managers on multiple project teams by providing communication, coordination and follow-up to meet project goals and objectives; ensure project scope or work, schedule and budget are clearly defined and understood.

  • Review and approve project procedures consistent with contractual documents and quality plans for all engineering work; determine and oversee all project controls, schedules and budgets.

  • Provide sponsor-level zippering contact with client, constructor, subcontractors, and vendors at kick-off meetings, project review, and other meetings as required.

  • Review training and compliance measures to ensure project procedures are followed.

  • Review and approve changes in project scope, budget and/or schedule.

  • Maintain ongoing communication with client, making adjustments as necessary to comply with client needs within contractual obligations, or adjust project deliverables to meet client and Kiewit needs.

  • Ensure all work products are consistent with industry standards and in accordance with good engineering practice and applicable codes, and in compliance with all pertinent legal codes and requirements.

  • Provide ongoing training and mentoring to entry and mid-level engineers to promote employee development.

  • Utilize extensive knowledge of basic engineering fundamentals and practices to track and budget progress with project milestones.

    Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering in any discipline, Construction, Project Management, Business or related field from an accredited four-year college or university

  • Advanced Technical or Business Degree - MS, MBA Preferred

  • PE license and/or PMP certification (desired)

  • 20+ years' experience leading onshore EPCC Projects in the downstream, petrochemical, LNG markets

  • Proven past successful experience as a Project Director, Project Manager or Program Manager. on multiple major onshore OGC EPCC Projects, 100MM TIV or greater

  • Competent in the use of computer software applications or project control and administration, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook

  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative

  • Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time

  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity

  • Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives

  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
