We are currently seeking a Sr. Data Center Cloud Engineer to join our team in Mountain View, California (US-CA), United States (US).

Day to Day Job Duties:

* Architecture, deployment, and administration of multiple enterprise level cloud-based and virtual solutions.

* Provide customers the best solution for their environment, whether on premise or in the cloud, using VMs, VPCs, EC2, and S3 buckets. Each environment is unique and requires knowledge of VMware, direct connect, firewall, and AWS policies.

* Responsible for key infrastructure services including Web, VMware, Data Storage, Monitoring, and system administration of multiple Linux operating systems such as CentOS and Ubuntu.

* Provide host-based security (SSL Certificates, firewalls, iptables, hardening techniques, etc.)

* Provide all aspects of system administration, operations, and application support for services needed by the customer.

* Work with the team to cover the design, implementation, operations and decommissioning phases of applications and instances for these services.

* Assist in the development, implementation and documentation of AMI builds, automation scripts, IAM permissions and VPC management.

* Assist with core network concepts such as ExpressRoute and AWS direct connect

* Perform hardware related Data Center activities (moves/adds/changes, inventory, rack/stack, cabling, labeling) to keep the on-premise infrastructure healthy.

* Test and validate updates and changes to the Linux instances/VMs without adverse effects on the production environment.

* Create process improvements and automation solutions.

* Document and monitor processes and procedures necessary for operational compliance.

* Apply your extensive knowledge of change & incident management.

* Work with the customer to identify ways to improve capabilities and offerings

Required Qualifications:

* 8-10 years of Senior Linux Systems Administration in an enterprise environment, including installing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting server OS, Apache, security configuration and troubleshooting

* 3+ years Senior AWS skills using and configuring Amazon Web Services (AWS), including installing and configuring Linux hosts, AMI to instance deployments along with how VPCs and subnets work

* 3+ years VMWare and ESX Hypervisors experience

* 3+ years Experience with configuration management and automation tools Ansible & Jenkins preferred

* 3+ year Experience configuring log file management with auditing capabilities. (i.e. Splunk)

* 3+ years Experience developing, producing and maintaining system and data center documentation, including adherence to defined change management process and procedures

* Bachelor s degree required

* Associates degree and 4 years of additional experience in Linux Systems Administration in lieu of a Bachelor's

* 8 years of additional experience in Linux Systems Administration in lieu of a degree

* Must be a US Citizen and requires a Public Trust

Desired Skills:

* Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform and additional IaaS experience is a plus

* Previous experience performing work on a Government Contract is a plus

* Hands-on experience with AWS CloudTamer is a plus

* Experience with Storage Area Networks is a plus

* Government Information security experience in scope of architecture and development is a plus

* CompTIA Security+ certification is a plus

* CCNA certification is a plus
