Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated individual to join ourMitochondrial Myopathy Research program in the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Mitochondrial Medicine Frontier Program (MMFP) in the Division of Human Genetics.
The Mitochondrial Myopathy Research program focuses on development andvalidation of objective outcome measures in Mitochondrial Myopathy for natural history studies and clinical trials, and seeks to establish new diagnostic approaches and validation ofnovel minimally invasive methods to measure mitochondrial function in animal models and human subjects.
This full-time research assistant role would be focused on Clinical Research studies onquantitation of muscle imaging changes and thequantitation of physiologic responses to passive exercise therapy.
Responsibilities would include study enrollment, organization of data, RedCAP data entries,coordination of study visits with themultidisciplinary team and collaborators, coordination of collaborator meetings and updatepresentations,extensive literature review, preparation of presentationslides, supervisedwriting ofmanuscriptsas well asregulatory IRB study protocols. The individual would be working directly with the PI.

Job Responsibilities
Providing technical and clinical support in the conduct of clinical studies:
- Filing and office organization
- Patient/research participant scheduling
- Patient/research participant history
- Data collection
- Data entry
- Data management
- Laboratory procedures
Research Study Compliance
- Adhere to an IRBapproved protocols
- Comply with Institutional policies, SOPs and guidelines
- Comply with federal, state, and sponsor policies
May be called upon to:
- Consent subjects, with appropriate authorization and training.
- Document and Report adverse events
- Maintain study source documents
- Complete case report forms (paper and electronic data capture)
Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations
Required Education and Experience
Required Education: Associates Degree or active enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree Program
Required Experience: One (1) year of relevant clinical research experience.
Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field
Additional Technical Requirements
- Familiarity with IRB and human subject protection.
