Lead Lounge Bartender at AU West Palm Beach in West Palm Beach, Florida

Job Description:

The ideal candidate to apply is a social, engaging, life-force--passionate about service and the guest experience. Simultaneously, s/he must be able to bring to life classic, innovative, memorable cocktail creations.

*The Day-to-Day

• Professionally accept orders from patrons;


• Prepare cocktails/serve liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks as ordered;


• Ensure patrons are of legal drinking age by verifying IDs;


• Use proper judgement and--when necessary--refuse service to patrons who are intoxicated and/or disruptive;


• Maintain the bar by keeping it clean, stocked, and organized.


• Design new cocktails within the theme of the restaurant


• Cost out cocktails by ingredient


• Train new bartenders for success


• Oversee completion of cleaning and maintenance duties by other bartenders.

Needed to be successful in this position

• Exceptional verbal communication skills;


• Ability to work independently and manage projects efficiently;


• Highest attention to detail.


• Outstanding craft cocktail background


• Knowledge of spirits and classic cocktails

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Prior experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors. Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.
