The Impact You'll Make

We have a great opportunity for a Medical Assistant to work at our Samaritan Medical Care Center. In this role, you are a vital member of the Urgent Care team, preparing patients for evaluation and treatment, performing clinical procedures in accordance with licensure to include: injections, venipuncture, X-Ray, EKG, tray set-up, and application of bandages, surgical assisting, as well as accurate testing/screening of specimens. The ideal candidate enjoys providing each patient with an excellent experience.

Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Triage, vital, and room patients while facilitating patient flow and insuring smooth running of the back office.
• Prepare patients for physician evaluation and assist physicians in evaluation and treatment of the patients.
• Administer medications/injections under supervision of the physician.
• Assist with production of x rays and provides timely follow up regarding lab and x-ray results.

What You Will Bring

Required Experience and Competencies:

• High school diploma
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Prior employment in private physician's office or group practice setting
• 1-2 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant, Certified or Registered Medical Assistant
• 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technician in a comparable environment OR successful completion of a Radiology Technician certification program with externship experience
• Current CPR certification

• X-Ray certification
