We have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Apex, NC or Moorpark, CA team. You will utilize a mix of leadership, technical and soft skills to aggressively manage NPD (New Product Development) projects, Quality/Warranty Reduction Projects, and/or Value Engineering Projects in the Pool Products Portfolio. You will also plan, direct and coordinate project activities in order to ensure project goals are accomplished within the approved time frame, cost targets and project funding parameters. #LI-KS

You will:

* Lead NPD project teams from concept to post release with strong sense of urgency, utilizing company product launch process (stage-gate). Establish and maintain project schedule using Clarizen, and document all project related risks. This may include the facilitation of development brainstorming Kaizen events (virtual or in-person), working with our engineering teams in USA , Europe, and/or India, and lead post-launch activities intended to support a smooth transition into production.

* Be responsible for managing large scale and/or moderately complex cross-functional development projects that likely involve Hardware, Electronics, Software, Firmware, and App development (iOS/Android). What are their key objectives?

* Be responsible to provide weekly updates to Accolade Portfolio Management software and insure accuracy of all project specific details, including deliverables, due dates, team changes, resource utilization, and risks/issues.

* Develop project plans with cooperation from the cross-functional project team to identifying schedules estimates, risks, and contingency plans for all projects.

* Develop and maintains technical and project documentation, including product specification, Financials (pro-forma), project/process deliverables.

Key Qualifications:

* 5+ years leading cross-functional project teams without direct supervisory responsibilities.

* 2+ years of engineering experience (prefer high volume production, consumer products or electronics, and product development environment).

* B.S. degree in Engineering from an accredited institution (MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus).

* Project Management education; Professional (PMP) certification is desirable. If hired, candidates are expected to study and successfully pass the PMI PMP exam demonstrating core competency knowledge.
