Newsy's innovative Washington, D.C bureau is looking for a talented off-air television producer/reporter to break news and find unique stories that appeal to a vibrant, smart audience on cable and award-winning over-the-top TV apps. Newsy provides anti-partisan, independent and solutions-focused journalism, and you're a fit if you're hungry to pitch and pursue smart, enterprise story ideas.
You'll work with our team of on-air reporters, videographers and producers to shoot and produce videos from the field, newsroom and your home. A video news background and a proven record in creative digital storytelling are strongly preferred.
PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Producer/Reporter is responsible for all aspects of reporting and producing videos. This journalist will focus on everything Washington -- from the White House to Congress and the campaign trail -- with the goal of providing viewers with compelling stories that add clarity to the nation's political discourse.
