Job Description:

Primary Purpose

The Temporary Research Analyst, Ad Sales provides data, insights, and recommendations to ad sales and other key stakeholders by gathering and maintaining data from various research sources. This position also assist with information to help improve ratings performance, leading to more increased revenue opportunities for the station and Scripps.

Key Activities


  • Ability to report and analyze data to provide actionable insights to drive business decision.

  • Ability to utilize resources to provide strategic insights to ad sales team.

  • Ability to visualize data and translate into presentations, dashboards, and one-sheets.

  • Able to understanding viewing habits and evaluating campaigns for effectiveness.

  • Able to understand forecasting estimates.

  • Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and disciplines.

  • Advanced Excel skills.

Skills

Education & Experience/Certifications


  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s preferred.


  • Minimum of 3 years job related experience.

  • Experience with Nielsen and syndicated resources.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).

Skills & Abilities


  • Knowledge of linear tools (NPower, Star Media, NCS/NBI, Ad Intel, MRI, Media Radar)

  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.


  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects.

  • Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with a high standard of quality.

  • Strong attention to detail ensuring accuracy of deliverables.

  • Flexibility to shift priorities and handle ad-hoc requests.

  • Strong understanding of Nielsen ratings and qualitative data.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
