Essential Functions Operating a variety of equipment including skid steers and front end loaders. Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all equipment. Adhere to all safety rules and regulations in concurrence with company policies and procedures. Responsible for safety equipment being operated and aspects of the machine such as fueling, greasing, and general equipment maintenance. May be required to prepare location site using heavy equipment - level, clear trees, backfill reserve pits, build ring levee. Additional duties as needed or directed by supervisor and/or manager. Work schedule will vary upon customer needs and can be up to 7 days a week with a maximum 14 hours a day. Company paid overnight travel will be required at times. Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or educational equivalent. 4-years industry experience. Strong experience with multiple pieces of heavy equipment. Oversight of the assurance of heavy equipment daily maintenance duties are performed. Communicates any problems or issues with the unit immediately upon discovery. Ability to understand and follow instructions on material paperwork. Good written and oral communication skills. CDL is preferred. Position Summary Strong working experience with the operation of one of the following, backhoe, front end loader, excavator, bulldozer, track-hoe, overhead cranes and other heavy equipment with no required supervision. Knowledgably inspects incoming material and fills out required paperwork. Independently conducts daily inspection of equipment and trains others to do the same.
