Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Health Promotion, Health and Wellness Management, Health Education or other health related field or equivalent education and experience defined as an Associates Degree in health related field and one (1) Health Promotion/Health Education certification from a nationally recognized organization. Two (2) years experience working with a Health Promotion Program. Must possess current CPR/AED and first aid certification. May require or need to obtain an additional certification based on specific customer needs.
Specific Tasks: Leads the planning, developing, coordinating, and implementing all activities of the Health Promotion Program, which may include wellness seminars, wellness classes, incentive programs and contests, newsletters and bulletin boards, Health/Wellness Fairs, employee health screenings (e.g. blood draws, finger sticks, and health risk appraisals, etc.). Assist with implementing health education programs designed to increase awareness and knowledge for health improvement; evaluate programs and provide Progress Reports.
Maintain current knowledge of health promotion topics to keep health education program material current; coordinate and/or ensure that supplies, equipment, files and client records are maintained in properly secured storage; may implement the pre-participation evaluation and annual re-stratification process in accordance with AFMCs and MEIs Wellness/Fitness Guidelines and Administrative Policies; may implement or coordinate fitness programs (programs may include components such as fitness assessments and exercise plans).
