Job Description:

Develop and deliver integrations and application enhancements to meet customer needs. Execute design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming to satisfy business and functional requirements. Develop strategy and solve complex and mission critical problems, internally and externally using leading-edge technologies and methodologies. Interact with developers, traders and quantitative analysts to test new algorithmic solutions. Develop applications using Java SE & EE. Create RESTful Web Services and define JSON for service requirements using Spring Boot, Spring Web, and Spring JDBC framework. Automate continuous integration using build technologies such as Jenkins, Goovy, Shell, Perl. Provide performance tuning solutions for JVM threads, Heap, JDBC and JMS. Develop unit tests using JUnit, Mockito, and Spring Test. Manage source code using repositories such as SVN or GIT. Debug and modify SQLs and stored procedures in Oracle and SQL Server. Perfrom applicaiton reelease management tasks to deploy and maintain apps in production.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
• Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
• Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
• Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages
• Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement

We prefer candiates with 7 to 10 years of IT work experience that includes:

Experience with Java and J2EE. Experience with RESTful Web Services using Java Spring framework. Experience with Java libraries including slf4j, Jackson, JMS, JDBC, Junit, JAXB.

Experience with JVM performance tuning. Experience with Unit Testing JUnit, Mockito, and Spring Test. Experience with Oracle and SQL Server. Experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry or Amazon Webservices.

Experience designing and developing microservices. Experience performing code reviews and approving pull requests.

Experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration/Delivery (CI/CD) automation concepts and tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Ansible, Sonar, Bash, Perl, Groovy and the Atlassian tool suite.

Experience in writing Jenkins pipeline definitions using Groovy. Experince with log agregation tools like splunk, ELK and monitoring tools like Dynatrace.

Experience with Waterfall and Agile software development methodologies
