SCHEDULE: PRN/Per Diem

Reston Hospital Center offers a full range of medical services, including 24-hour emergency care. Our 231-bed hospital specializes in maternal/child health, surgical services on both an inpatient and extensive outpatient basis, urological services including lithotripsy, cancer care with state-of-the-art radiation therapy, rehabilitation therapy programs and a wide array of diagnostic imaging capabilities. Reston Hospital Center is a certified Stroke Center, certified Total Joint Center and the only accredited Chest Pain Center in Northern Virginia. We are the only Hospital in Northern Virginia to receive Joint Commission designation as a Top Performer on Key Quality measures for 3 consecutive years. The Patient Safety Screener (PSS) participates in high quality, patient-centered care by operating a station designed to control access of individuals that present to facility access points. In collaboration with the patient care team, the PSS screens individuals to ensure that patient and staff environment is free of potential exposure of respiratory illnesses and infectious diseases. The PSS provides guidance to patients and visitors on the appropriate pathways, following established protocols. The PSS may assist with directing patients, traffic, or monitoring in remote locations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

Customer service experience preferred. Willing to work directly with patients/hospital guests while standing/being seated for long periods of time. Must be comfortable wearing PPE for entire shift.
