What success looks like in this role:
* Administration of Backup environments with Veritas NetBackup, Backup Avamar, Commvault and Data Domain for a Multi-Client environment.
* Handle Technical Escalations from Level 1 & 2.
* Troubleshoot technical Issues in Backup environments running on the Mentioned Tools & Technologies to Resolution.
* Available for Oncall support.
* Evaluate and Analyze the Backup Reports and Backup Performance.
* Propose and Implement Backup Improvement Initiatives to enhance backup Performance & Backup Success Rates.
* Installing and configuring new Backup Environments.
* Conduct Periodic Performance Analysis and fine tune the Overall Backup Performance.
* Execute Incident management, Change Management and Problem management in line with ITIL Standards.
* Communicate project status, client updates etc.
* Provide weekly and Monthly status reports on projects.
* Demonstrate a high degree of creativity in performing tasks by identifying, proposing and implementing streamlining activities to reshape processes.
* Track Backup Systems' Capacity and Propose Appropriate Measures proactively.
* Work with other cross-functional teams to provide seamless Service Delivery.
* Communicate issues and solutions that may impact the team.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
* 8 to 10 Years of overall Experience in IT Services and Systems Management including Server Management.
* 5 Years experience in the administration of Data Protection Systems such as; Veritas NetBackup, Avamar, Commvault and Data Domain.
* Windows and UNIX Server Administration experience a plus.
* Knowledgeable with ITIL Processes (Incident, Problem and Change Management).
* Knowledge in using Service Management Tools such as ServiceNow.
* Excellent written and Oral Communication Skills.
* Previous Remote Support Environment a plus.
* Ability to clearly articulate situations / issues to cross-functional teams.
* HIPPA knowledge
* Travel - 20-25%
