Overview

The NI Transportation Systems R&D team is looking for a highly motivated Program Manager who thrives in a fast-paced highly technical business area within a highly-respected, market-leading company. 

The Role

The Systems R&D Program Manager will be responsible for delivering systems on a predictable schedule, within budget and with high quality. You will join a highly experienced, growing team, drive and manage the definition, development, and delivery of systems for the Transportation Business Unit. You will be a connector by forging strong relationships with cross functional teams and deliver results in an effective and timely manner. You will also help the team evolve by creating and refining tools and processes.

The right candidate will demonstrate a very solid understanding of technical program management and an outstanding track record of delivering results.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for successful delivery of Transportation Systems R&D programs with a clear plan to deliver on schedule, and optimize cost to stay within budget


• Utilizing abilities to drive program success through both direct ownership and delegation to team members


• Develop and execute to Transportation System R&D program road maps


• Effectively communicate to all program stake holders including, but not limited to, upper management


• Coordinate cross-functional teams and collaborate with colleagues across the company to drive program success


• Collaborate to identify and document customer requirements, and provide estimates for costs and schedule


• Define and drive adoption of Systems R&D development processes and drive processes and tool improvements


• Understand and utilize internal project management tools and processes related to development and release through various project phases
