Position Overview
The Technical Services Manager participates in various Engineering reviews and internal/external partner meetings during the FEED and Detailed Engineering phases of a project. Principal input is targeted at staged facility start planning, performance guarantee assessments, steady state operability, simultaneous operations prior to substantial completion, non-steady state operations and safety during pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup stages. Input and assessments will include operational mode reviews, including transient conditions, load changes, normal startup, normal shutdown, emergency shutdown, recovery from emergency shutdown, perseveration and maintenance requirements.
The Technical Services Manager will provide operational oversight for assigned projects, including control room operation, performance testing, tuning, troubleshooting, and generally, support Commissioning and Startup Managers in hazardous Chemical and Hydrocarbon phases of the projects.
The Technical Services Manager will provide operational and maintenance training for assigned projects.
Technical Services Manager's deliverables may include operating documents such as operating philosophies, process unit operating manuals, utilities manuals, laboratory manuals, lubrication schedules, chemical cleaning documents,
systems priority identification packages, start-up schedules, start-up philosophies, and vendor servicemen schedules.
The Technical Services Manager may, from time-to-time, develop and submits man-hour estimates to the Director of Commissioning for review and approval for assigned proposals.
