Location: Ashburn, VA; Washington, DC; San Antonio, TX; Phoenix, AZ

Duration: Contingent upon award

Travel: 25%

Shift: Standard business hours

What You’ll Get to Do!

The Assistant Program Director of Post Release Services will manage the post release and home studies operations supporting the ORR (Office of Refugee Resettlement).The ideal candidate must be extremely well-organized, have great leadership and communication skills, and experienced in managing remote staff members.

Key functions you will perform!


  • Responsible for the post release operations of the program

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures and training process for the case managers

  • Ensure contract compliance by following regulatory standards

  • Responsible for ensuring the quality control, effective reporting and unit assessments

  • Plan the delivery of the post release process and its activities in accordance with the mission of the Client;

  • Responsible for all reporting and identifying areas for program improvement

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a successful post release and home studies process

What you will need to have:


  • A Master’s Degree in behavioral sciences, human services or social services fields OR

  • A bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years’ employment experience that demonstrates supervisory and case management experience

  • Supervisory experience

  • Experience developing, documenting, and enforcing standard operating procedures

  • Experience training case managers in accordance with ORR policies and procedures

  • Ability to analyze information and make sound decisions based on findings and data

  • Experience as a Case Manager and has strong background in Home Studies or Post Release Services

  • Understanding of community based resources as it pertains to Unaccompanied children

  • Ability to manage a nationwide staff (Regional Manager) located in different states

  • Has worked on Grants from HHS pertaining to Post Release services

  • Experience in working with children who are in risk of abuse, exploitation, or trafficking

  • Strong network to various companies or agencies who are directly involved in Post Release Services

  • Located in the DC metropolitan area

  • Ability to produce high level reports on status of cases

  • Ability to create and enforce policies and procedures

  • Familiar with ORR Policies and procedures

  • Ability to create and enforce a Quality Control Plan

Preferred Skills:


  • Great organizational and communication skills

  • Background and knowledge of ORR programs and policies

Clearance:

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Security Requirements:


  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Must have lived in the US at least three (3) of the past five (5) years


  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance

  • Favorable credit check
