GDPR Encryption & Vault Manager at Cognizant in Teaneck, New Jersey

Job Description:

Location: Fully Remote with eventual 20% travel.

1. A minimum of 7+ years of relevant security experience with a proven ability of working in complex security projects is preferred. Exposure to any two security areas is mandatory – application/integration security, cryptography, data security & protection, application security, cloud/virtualization security, mobile security, server/network security.

2. Candidate should possess strong application/product/software security background with specialized experience and Knowledge of hardening and securing all well-known databases, such as, Oracle, MS SQL, Sybase, MongoDB, etc. using native database security features (e.g. TDE, DB Vault, Redaction, etc.) and/or 3rd party solutions (such as Vormetric transparent encryption, HSM, DSM, etc.)

3. Working understanding of common cyber security solutions; such as: SIEM, Vulnerability Management, Cryptography & key management, DLP, Identity Access Management, RBAC, DAM, PIM, PAM, FIM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, etc. Hands-on ability to troubleshoot security issues, configurations and incidents on a wide range of devices and computing environments would be an advantage.

4. Strong understanding of proven security mitigation techniques to a wide variety of cyber threats/incidents such as network intrusions, web-based attacks, DB attacks, malicious emails, root and user level compromises, malware, botnet infections and other anomalous activity or behavior, etc.

5. Past experience in cyber architectures and risk assessments including assessment of information system risk management, planning and implementing security measures to protect computer systems, networks, user endpoints, server endpoints, data, etc. is highly preferred.

6. Ideal candidate should be a good team player, keen learner, and highly detail oriented and commitment to executing daily/weekly/monthly tasks and work packages.

7. Good interdepartmental skills (business units, IT, etc.) with understanding of business terminology, workflows and requirements, and a strong team player who collaborates and supports the mission and individual team member success. Thrives on challenges in a fluid working environment and takes initiative to learn new technologies.

8. Familiarity with GDPR privacy regulation and related security controls would be an advantage.

9. Candidate willing to work in shifts is preferred.

10. Bachelor’s Degree, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Security or related field required.

11. Preferred credentials: CISSP, CCSP, CEH and related certifications.
