Reports to Director. Performs 12-lead EKGs according to physician order, departmental policies and procedures. Performs patient education as required. Prepares tests for physician interpretation. Maintains, cleans, and calibrates diagnostic equipment.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
The knowledge, skills, and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent. EKG experience is preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
Must comprehend lead placement and montage protocols.
Working Conditions
Must be able to work closely with critically ill patients.
Must be able to work under stressful situations.
Exposure to potentially hazardous contagious agents due to contact with patients and chemicals.
Physical Demands
Requires the physical ability and stamina (i.e. to walk/stand for prolonged periods of time, push carts/wheelchairs up to 50 pounds, to position/lift patients at a maximum of 35 pounds unassisted, over 35 pounds requires assistance, provide CPR, etc.) to perform the essential functions of the position.
