Job Description:

MEAT QUALITY CONTROL CLERK
Verify item description, date rotation, UPC's, weight ranges and any additional info required.
Verify inventory adjustment report daily and assist in locating product that have been taken out for whatever reason
Warehouse scratch report
Review Held inventory report
Review customer short coded report and arrange product in the slot to facilitate the outbound product to customer
Suggest slot relocation on heavy draw sale items
Spot check inbound receiving for proper assignment of item codes
Assist receiver with any questions regarding an item or items being received and contact the buyer for further clarification
Help resolve receiving errors and weight issues
Keep accounting apprised of those errors
Verify short coded report daily and contact the buyer for a solution of the product
Verify slot date rotation
Getting authorization from Director of Procurement or the Director of Sales to move short coded product from original slot to a distressed slot
Arrange PLT pallets by customer to insure that the correct product is shipped
Removal and disposal of out of code and or damaged product must be authorized by Director of Procurement or the Director of Sales
Determine the salability of returned product, daily, through the meat department base on condition of the product, box condition and sell by or pack date
Repairing return product to best condition possible for resale
Walk the aisles, looking for anything that is out of place or not in the correct slot
Keep a line of communication open with the meat department through walkie talkie or phone
Need to be able to operate a single pallet jack assigned to the meat department
