Are you a structured individual who would like to lend their organizational skills to help others thrive in the classroom?  As an Operations Training Specialist Assistant, you support Operations Training Specialists inside and outside of the classroom, watch new MSRs take their first steps into their career and see those MSRs grow into their careers as amazing contributors and leaders.

Bring passion and perseverance to the classroom by co-assisting as an Operations Training Specialist Assistant.  Start the class day by creating a welcoming and energetic atmosphere, which includes providing freshly brewed coffee, ice cold water, and a delicious variety of snacks.  As class begins, help trainers by being aware of participant needs, actively listening to the facilitator and following along in the training manual.  As the day continues, be an expert in the classroom to assist participants with their transactions and questions.  Throughout the day, support trainers in facilitating activities and managing class materials.  As the day nears an end, clean and help prepare the classroom for another exciting day.

Build a positive learning experience with a can-do attitude before any employees ever step into the classroom.  Preparation begins a week before class.  Start the week out by printing your preparation checklist.  As you move through the morning, use the checklist to send emails to guest speakers inviting them into next week’s class.  In the afternoon, open the training manuals to review and make sure they’re ready to go to the print shop.  Spend time looking at and manipulating accounts in the training system to ensure those accounts are ready to use.  At the end of the day, communicate with the trainers where you are in the prepping process.


The Operations Training department is looking for an Operations Training Specialist Assistant who is organized, detail-oriented, and wants to set the classroom up for success. Be part of a team that allows for personal growth.

Operations Training Specialist Assistants closely work with business units to ensure class operates effectively.  In this role, travel to various training locations based on training needs.


What will an Operations Training Specialist Assistant be doing?



  • Under general supervision, responsible for the preparation needs for training programs for member service operations positions (including MSR, MRT, IRA and Training Labs) using a variety of materials.

  • Monitors and assists class participants with their operations skills development in the classroom to ensure transfer of learning.

  • Responsible for preparation of class materials and coordination of training classes.

  • Other duties as required.

Minimum formal education required for this position:


Knowledge consistent with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Communications, or a related field


Minimum work experience:


(Preferred) 1+ years’ experience of formal training & development


(Preferred) 1+ years’ experience in a financial institution


Technical or specialized knowledge/skills:



  • Advanced communication skills including written, verbal and interpersonal are required with the ability to work with all levels of the organization.

  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple and diverse projects.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and consistent, logical and effective decision-making skills.

  • Basic ability in technical writing to include training manuals, memoranda, and proposals.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Knowledge and application of adult learning principles.

  • None required

Environmental, physical and psychological requirements: 



  • Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time in a climate controlled environment. Must be able to use fingers, hands, wrists for repetitive tasks such as typing, using a mouse, handling paper, currency, or coin, and operating a telephone.   Demands for visual and auditory acuity are typical of an office environment.  Must be able to address an audience verbally with clarity.  Must be able to point or gesture, use visual aids (write on dry-erase board, etc), and perform other basic classroom functions.  Must be able to interact via email, telephone, or in person with diplomacy, tact, and courtesy with all members under varying circumstances.  Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Starting hourly rate is $15.92+
