JOB SUMMARY

The chief objective of this position:

-

The Multi-Modality Technologist performs routine and complex high quality imaging exams in assigned modalities. The Multi-Modality Technologist provides safe, patient-centered care with attention to the physical and emotional needs of patients of all age groups. The Multi-Modality Technologist must be willing and able to learn new skills, and is required to maintain annual competencies in all assigned modalities.

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:

-

Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) or

-

Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) or

-

Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) as a sonographer ARRT(S) or RDMS or CCI certification in Medical Sonography or RDCS certification in Cardiac Sonography or RVT certification as Vascular Technologist.

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment:

-

Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers)

-

Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) or

-

Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) or

-

Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) as a Sonographer ARRT(S) or RDMS or CCI certification in Medical Sonography or RDCS certification in Cardiac Sonography or RVT certification as Vascular Technologist AND

-

At least one of the following additional certifications is required prior to advancement to level 2:

-

MRI

-

CT

-

PET

-

Sonography

-

ARDMS or CCI or RDCS or RVT or ARRT-specialty certification

-

VI or CI

-

Mammo

-

Nuclear Medicine

-

Team members must meet eligibility requirements for multi-modality role and progress to Clinical Ladder Level 2 within 24 months of hire.

Experience PREFERRED

-

-

One (1) to Three (3) years of previous Technologist work experience in each of the assigned modalities

-

Previous work experience in an academic medical center environment

-

Education/training REQUIRED:

-

Graduation from a JRC Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology that is recognized by the ARRT or Graduation from a JRC Accredited Program in Nuclear Medicine that is recognized by the NMTCB and/or Graduation from an CAAHEP or CMA Accredited Program in Medical/Cardiac/Vascular Sonography or

-

Graduation from a minimum of a 2 year JRC Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology or Sonography that is recognized by the ARRT or Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, JRC-DMS or graduation from a Bachelor's degree program in Sonography or Vascular Sonography.

Education/training PREFERRED:

Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Radiations Science, Radiologic Technology, Sonography, or Vascular Sonography
