Agilent Technologies is seeking a Material Handler for its growing life sciences manufacturing operation located in Folsom, California. Agilent's laboratory consumables business is an industry leader in innovation, market share and performance. Agilent is seeking energetic, motivated individuals with demonstrated skills in logistics, warehouse management, teamwork and communication.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience working in a fast-paced, high-throughput, leading-edge manufacturing facility, producing products used world-wide for ensuring quality and compliance in such areas as: diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, research and others.

Key responsibilities will include:


* Receives, stores and/or distributes materials and maintains material inventory accuracy.
* Performs a variety of administrative tasks, including maintaining inventory accuracy
* Maintains non-conformance materials and scrap parts
* Performs kitting of materials and interfaces with the warehouse
* May provide logistics analysis and new/customized approaches to providing logistics services
* Performs a variety of process support tasks including maintenance of records and/or databases
* Coordinates and facilitates processes by ensuring the proper flow of information and/or materials
* Supports inventory control activities with data entry, report generation and reconciliation
* Solves complex problems (inter-related, multiple variables) requiring breadth/ depth of knowledge of work area processes, procedures, objectives, plans
* Required to work and communicate cross functionally with company personnel at all organizational levels
* Participates, cooperates and contributes as part of a team
* Identifies and implements improvements within assigned area
* Develops solutions on how to resolve issues that are identified during daily work
* Provides feedback to supervisors, leads or technical support group on safety, quality and process related issues
* Provide troubleshooting and support for logistics operations.
* Willingness to work overtime as required and competence in planning and maintaining area throughput.
* Ability to routinely lift and move 25 lb. loads.
* Proactively present opportunities for improvement.

Required Qualifications:


* 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or warehouse operations or AA, AS, BA, BS or equivalent.
* Ability to work in a safe, clean, and knowledgeable manner.
* User level proficiency in Microsoft office products including Excel, and Word.
* Effective basic math, verbal & written communication skills, and aptitude to follow complex instructions.
* Capability to adapt to changing priorities & provide observational feedback to process support groups.
* Strong attention to detail and skill to multi-task and organize thoughts as needed.
* Ability to work independently or within a team. Talent for fostering positive work relationships.

Desired Qualifications:


* Hands-on experience in a chemistry and or biochemical manufacturing environment.
* Lean Manufacturing experience.
* Direct experience with SAP or related ERP system for material transactions.
* Demonstrated ability to drive and implement solutions to improve operations.
