Summary: Assist the Human Resources department with all Human Resources duties to include new hire administration, benefit program administration, payroll administration, attendance program administration, employee relations, recruiting, company functions, training and safety program support, administration services, and all other duties as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with all aspects of the recruitment process including screening, taking phone calls, maintaining resume files, coordinating and scheduling interview appointments, offers of employment and managing the applicant tracking system administration while maintaining compliance with the Affirmative Action Plan of the Company


-

Assist HR team with administrative tasks for the onboarding of new hires, including preparing orientation folders, new hire goodie bags, and employee personnel files


-

Enter new hire information into appropriate databases to include payroll, time system and training programs


-

Process new hire background checks, new hire drug screens, health insurance enrollment records and benefit termination records; control of employment verifications, child support orders, garnishments orders, liens, medical questionnaires records.

Manage the benefit eligibility process


-

Distribute benefit information and forms


-

Ensure employee timely and accurate benefit enrollment


-

Assist employees with benefit program questions, utilizing the benefit program brokers or vendors to get necessary information and support


-

Input new employee information, changes, and termination information into computerized payroll and timekeeping programs


-

Review weekly timecards for all hourly and salaried employees; maintain payroll records and weekly payroll and hours reports


-

Maintain Human Resources software with current employee data providing custom reports for management review


-

Review and approve temporary labor invoicing for plant, warehouse and office and prepare weekly update of temporary labor expenses as incurred


-

Interface with employees on payroll questions


-

Manage attendance communication and disciplinary actions with supervisors and managers


-

Update employee timecards for attendance with occurrences such as absences, tardy's, leave early's, paid time off


-

Assist all employees and management with HR related questions/issues


-

Replenish commonly used forms in the employee break room


-

Assist Human Resources team with coordinating employee holiday and engagement activities


-

Provide administrative services to include event coordination, miscellaneous projects, backup receptionist support, and general clerical duties


-

Provide required recordkeeping by maintaining accurate employee files to include active employee filing, employee medical filing, I-9 filing, terminated employee filing, resume filing, and all other filing as needed

Compile and produce company communication newsletter/memos/digital signage with input from all employees and members of management

Assist other department members with special projects as needed


-

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

General:


-

Minimum 2-3 years' experience in human resources department


-

Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills


-

Bi-lingual Preferred.


-

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred

Computer Skills:


-

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook


-

Knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems, knowledge of ADP preferred
