Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Director, Retail eCommerce Implementation works with the retailers or partners to create a smooth integration of technology between our ecommerce platform and the customer’s existing technology infrastructure.  Provides domain knowledge of ecommerce and retail systems in general. Creates best practices and processes for implementation and integration of ecommerce. Hires and builds a team to scale out implementation capabilities. Works with Director, Retail Technology and others to streamline multi-product implementations. Provides project management and related professional services for multiple concurrent projects. Provides ongoing solution expertise at retailer and partner accounts. Helps Account Execs design solutions to client business problems using Inmar products and processes.  Has input into the design of new features due to interactions with customers and VOC.  Provides support to the Account Executives from a technical perspective.

Primary Accountabilities:

Management (initially small but growing to 25%)


  • Identify, hire and train associates

  • Establish common best practices and processes for team

  • Develop and manage team

Operational (initially 50% but going down to 25% as team is hired)


  • Support ongoing retail product solution initiatives

  • Assist with design and implement solutions

  • Develop ecommerce domain knowledge

  • Identify process improvements/efficiencies

  • Review contracts

  • Participate in Request for Proposal responses

  • Assist with ecommerce client tier 1 service requests

Project Management (20%)

  • Leads ecommerce implementation projects

Strategic (30%)


  • Manage strategic relationships for integration

  • Act as the main technical liaison initially

  • Act as point of escalation

Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • 10+ years of related work experience in enterprise solution/product deployment

  • Familiarity with the grocery retail industry

  • Proficient with Google Suite

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially excel and word)

  • Advanced Beginner with Point of Sale (POS) and other retailer technologies
