Position Status: Full Time (40 hrs week) 




Job Summary:



The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is a member of the BuildingPoint West team covering a defined BuildingPoint region, either AZ, NM, NV, UT, CO, ID, WY and MT or TX and OK.

 

The ISR role combines sales and technical knowledge to offer specific solutions to BuildingPoint West prospects and clients. Key to this role is the comprehensive knowledge and understanding of product(s) or service(s) offered to sell competently through demonstration and verbal explanation over the phone and via virtual presence; as well as answer any client queries and needs in the pre-sales and post sales process as needed by the ISR.  The emphasis of the work varies; however, most of the work will be working with the direct manager on pre-sales demonstrations, post-sales support and training as well as online Webinars to prospects.

Another vital role is regular connection with all the members of the sales team and co-workers from a range of departments to collaborate on opportunities.





Essential Functions:




  • Generates revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding, and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts.

  • Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends and identifying sales opportunities.

  • Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new account, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.

  • Closes new accounts by answering telephone and e-mail inquiries, verifying and entering information.

  • Develops a robust knowledge of clients and prospects and finds opportunities for their products as well as other BPWest products and services.

  • Fills orders by transferring orders to fulfillment, communicating expected delivery date, and explaining stock-outs.

  • Develops accounts by checking customer’s buying history, suggesting related and new items, and explaining technical features.

  • Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities. 

  • Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.

  • Explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.




Additional Responsibilities:




  • Working with different company departments as needed to share information, train or brainstorm for further business development.

  • Preparing of reports for sales, testing and other senior management.




Additional Level Requirements





Knowledge Skills and Abilities:




  • Working as an “Expert” in Project Management, Mixed Reality and VDC services.

  • Strong knowledge of targeted customer prospects and applications for Project Management.

  • Time management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Skilled computer and MS Office user

  • Strong Project Management CAD / Revit / BIM / VDC

  • Strong understanding of design software platforms.

  • Always work safely.  Adhere to all applicable safety policies.  Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards.

  • Travel not required.

  • Office Position.  Not a work from home position unless otherwise approved by direct manager.




Education and Experience:




  • 3 or more years of inside sales experience.

  • Construction experience or related industry.

  • Techanical and educational aptitude to maintain and improve understanding of the application and products targeted at the construction industry.

  • Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English, multilingual (Spanish) a plus.

  • Existing contacts and relationships within the General Contractor industry

  • Proof of at least a High School or GED
